Glance Deck — Beta Program Terms
Last updated: May 17, 2026
These Beta Program Terms ("Beta Terms") govern your participation in the Glance Deck Beta Program ("Beta Program") offered by GT Media, LLC ("GT Media", "we"). By accepting a beta license, or by activating, flashing, installing, or using pre-release Glance Deck firmware or software ("Beta Software"), you agree to these Beta Terms, the Glance Deck Terms of Service, the EULA, and the Privacy Policy. Where these Beta Terms conflict with the Terms of Service or EULA, these Beta Terms control for your Beta Program participation only.
This is an open beta: there is no confidentiality obligation and you may publicly discuss your experience. The rest of these Beta Terms still apply.
1. Beta License (Free, Limited, Revocable)
GT Media grants you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Beta Software on one device that you supply ("your hardware"), solely to evaluate it and provide feedback, during the Beta Program period. The beta license:
- is provided at no charge and confers no ownership and no right to a paid license, refund, credit, or future product;
- is bound to one device and may not be sold, shared, sublicensed, transferred, or used for any commercial purpose or resale; and
- may be suspended, revoked, or expired by GT Media at any time, for any or no reason, without notice or liability, including by ending the Beta Program or via a firmware license-policy change. You have no entitlement to continued use, and a beta license may stop working when the Beta Program ends.
All anti-piracy and anti-circumvention restrictions in the Terms of Service (Section 8) and EULA (Sections 3–4) apply fully to Beta Software.
2. Pre-Release — Provided "AS IS"
Beta Software is pre-release, unfinished, and untested. It may be unstable, contain errors, change, or be withdrawn, and it may cause loss of data, settings, or device functionality. THE BETA SOFTWARE AND THE BETA PROGRAM ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OR SUPPORT OF ANY KIND. NO LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE BETA PROGRAM. GT Media has no obligation to provide updates, fixes, support, or a commercial release.
3. Self-Flashing Risk and Safety
You will install Beta Software onto your own hardware using the Web Installer. The DIY Flashing Assumption of Risk in Section 5 of the Terms of Service applies in full — flashing can permanently damage ("brick") hardware, the full-erase function is irreversible, and you assume all risk to your hardware, data, and property. The Safety Notice in Section 6 of the Terms of Service also applies in full: Glance Deck is an informational display only, is not a safety device, and must not be relied upon to detect any hazardous condition. This is especially important for pre-release software.
4. Feedback
You may submit comments, bug reports, ideas, and suggestions ("Feedback"). You grant GT Media a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, and commercialize the Feedback for any purpose, without obligation or compensation to you. Do not submit anything confidential to you or to a third party, or anything you are not free to share. You represent you have the right to submit your Feedback.
5. Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability
The disclaimers of warranty and limitation of liability in the Terms of Service (Sections 11–12) and EULA (Sections 9–10) apply in full to the Beta Program and Beta Software, except that, because the Beta Software is provided free of charge, GT Media's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Beta Program will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (US$50), to the maximum extent permitted by law. You will indemnify GT Media as set out in Section 13 of the Terms of Service.
6. Term; Termination
The Beta Program runs until GT Media ends it. GT Media may modify, suspend, or terminate the Beta Program, or your participation, at any time without notice or liability. On termination you must stop using and remove the Beta Software. Sections 1–5 and this Section 6 survive termination.
7. General
These Beta Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and are subject to the dispute-resolution, arbitration, class-waiver, and general provisions of the Terms of Service. The Beta Program is void where prohibited and is open only to participants selected by GT Media who are at least 18 years old.
